Lovely rooftop and location
Awesome location for the tourist sites in Sultanahmet (ie Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern, and more) - easy walking distance. Also not far from the tram. The rooftop terrace is stunning and makes breakfast really lovely, or any other time of day if you choose. Abdul at the front desk really makes the experience - super friendly, exceedingly helpful. THANKS Abdul! Cons - my room didn’t have a fridge (it was broken and removed before my arrival), there's no in-room safe as indicated on Hotels.com and airport transfer is also super out of date. The rooms are dated and the standard room in particular was pretty meh. Perhaps others are nicer. Overall good stay.

Gracious Hospitality
Our stay at the Dilhayat Kalfa Hotel was very comfortable. The proprietors were very accommodating and made us feel at home. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. We only stayed one night both at the beginning and the ending of our tour of western Turkey. We would love to return and spend more time in Istanbul. The hotel is in a prime location, within walking distance to main attractions in Istanbul.

The hotel staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The location was great, quiet street, wonderful view from rooftop terrace where breakfast was served daily, 10 minute walk to major attractions, bazaars, restaurants, ATMs, etc. The only downside would be if you have mobility issues and cannot negotiate stairs.
