Very convenient
It was a great experience. Reception staff was great and speak English. It was a bit noisy at night though, particularly at night.

Very Basic Hotel
Their "futon" mattress is rough for a senior traveler. I rented 3 extra mattresses to make my poor back & hip bones less sore. My young family members managed it fine. Their toilet water runs for a long time while making disturbingly loud noise. The location was great, being close to JR train stations. Being located near Korean Town, we found many cheap eateries.

I loved my stay at Hotel Hanabi. It was clean, had excellent Wifi reception, and great service. All amenities were included. The only con for me was the quality of the towels and the size of the room (there were 5 of us, but luckily we are close!), but for the great rate and location, I have no complaints. The hotel is conveniently located to the subway station, and in a fun neighborhood. I would absolutely stay here again.

Small living space, but lots of value!
- 2-3 minutes away from JR shin-okubo station - yamanote line (excellent for tokyo sightseeing) - There are plenty of late night restaurants nearby; of note are watami, saizeriya, and yakiniku iwa - Modest accomodations, futon was light, bathroom was restocked and cleaned everyday (you have to clean the tatamis yourself), and there was someone at the front desk 90% of the time we passed through - Wi-fi was acceptable (if you rent a pocket wi-fi, you dont have to worry about this) - Carry your shoes up to your room, the front desk can get busy at times and it can be tough to put on your shoes if you put it in a locker Would recommend if you are not planning to spend a lot of time in your hotel. The bathroom and living room are quite small.
