Fantastic hotel in everyway
Our 2nd time at JA Oceanview and it did not disappoint. Hotel is in a fantastic location on JBR Walk with easy access to the beach, marina, tram, metro, bars, cafes etc. You have it all in easy walking distance. The hotel itself is lovely and bright and every inch is kept immaculately clean. The rooms are a good size and all have a fantastic view of the sea and Blue Harbour which is stunning at night. Beds are large and very comfortable and all furniture and carpets are kept in good condition. Staff are very friendly and could not be more helpful. They really make your stay a pleasure. We were only B&B on this occasion but the breakfasts have plenty of choice, the quality of the food is very good and all the plates are kept fresh and well topped up. There is sometimes there is a queue to get in, but the longest we ever waited was 5 minutes max. The only negatives, and they are not the hotels fault, but you should know is that JBR walk is quite noisy at night due to bars and traffic, and traffic getting to the hotel is a nightmare up to about 9pm, use public transport or get dropped off a bit away and walk. Overall the JA Oceanview is a great hotel which is good value, and is in a great location.
