We have had a wonderful 10 days at Sofitel Dubai The Palm, enjoying every minute of it. This is our second stay having visited in April 2022 and we have no regrets about coming back. The hotel is beautiful, immaculately clean with lovely restaurants and lots to do. The pools were busy with some pressure for a good sunlounger, but that’s no surprise given it was school holidays in many countries and the hotel was clearly quite full. Despite this it wasn’t overcrowded and never felt too busy. The views from the hotel are amazing, the beach lovely and despite being on the palm it is still only a short taxi to downtown. The greatest asset it has though is the staff. They are all so lovely, friendly and welcoming. Nothing is too much for anyone and they have wonderful memories for who you are and what you like. Even with some very whingey and needy other guests (who really need to relax - yes at lunchtime your poolside call button may take a while for an answer, that’s life and you’re on holiday!) they cope very well. A couple of mentions in particular - Vikash at Maui was very helpful and we remembered him from our previous visit. Franco, also from Maui, is an incredible asset to the hotel and looked after us wonderfully around the pool each and every day. He remembered our name immediately after our first drink order and came to say hello every single morning. An exemplary member of the team!
