My favorite hotel in Vancouver

I love this hotel so much, it's like sleeping in a work of art. The beds are so comfortable and it's very clean. Front desk people are so friendly and welcoming. The area is not great, once I checked in I didn't feel comfortable going out after dark as a single woman. But during the day I would not feel unsafe coming and going.

Would you stay with this sign posted?

The front desk clerk was having a medical issue when we arrived which was causing some confusion and difficulty in conversation. The flier posted in the elevator stated there would be a bed bug inspection next week. While this may be mandatory for hotels, posting in this manner gave us much pause in staying so we took our bags back down and declined the reservation. Hotel was not the appearance suggested online nor would it rate a 9.0.

My primary disappointment with this hotel was it boasted about the "art". I find BC Indigenous art to be quite beautiful. Unfortunately there was very minimal on display, other than the beautiful table in the back area. It is also worth noting, the location is right outside of China town and a few blocks from the infamous East Hastings. The people were nice but we had too stand outside for quite a while to be let in and be checked in.

The hotel was extremely comfortable and clean--wonderful natural bathroom products that smelled amazing! We slept so well and the hotel was super quiet. The only issue is the surrounding neighborhood/area. We found the amount of public drug use and unhoused individuals in various stages of intoxication, undress, and questionable hygiene rather disturbing.

The hotel is in a very convenient location in downtown with walking distance to restaurants, shops and the convention center. The rooms are spacious, clean and have nice ambience. They also have a light breakfast option in the morning! The only issue for me was that the toilet was possibly leaking and so it was flushing every 5-10 mins which I had to turn off after use.

We are very disappointed in the relaying back and forth with this hotel as we didn't have a credit card and they weren't willing to budge even though they were willing to let us do a cash deposit. We left to go get our cash deposit after we told them we didn't have a credit card and when we got back they told us that we had to pay for the room with a credit card. Very very disappointed

A really wonderful hotel with warm abv welcoming staff. The room was beautiful. Located close to the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden and restaurants. Hotel staff helpfully pointed out the streets and blocks that were most comfortable for walking around.

To start, the location just felt unsafe with a lot of drug use and suspicious people around. We were greeted by the front desk person when we checked in. He was really friendly. Got up to the room and noticed how warm it was. When we tried to adjust the temp, it didn't work. We called the front desk, and he came up and tried himself and couldn't get it to work either. He then said it was a central unit and that he would contact them and fix it. It was never fixed. The room was very warm, too warm, our whole stay there. Would not recommend this place at all.

This is a lovely little hotel that is intertwined with a gallery full of gorgeous indigenous art. Additionaly,l there is studio space in the building occupied by Native artists. Each of the rooms features the work of an artist integrated into the furnishings and ornament theme. My room included a cozy private balcony with a view of the lights of the city’s towers. And it’s a 7-8 minute walk to the Rogers Center!

We booked this hotel as it is close to Queen Elizabeth Theater. It is also 3 min walking distance to China town, so we had dimsum next morning. The room was clean, and the staffs were friendly and kind. We recommend this hotel to other travelers also. :)
