    Abysmal experience at a luxury hotel at high price
    I rarely have time to write a review, but this expense warrants one. I travel all over the world for pleasure and business, stay in hotels of various star ratings from a guest house in Bali to 5 star hotels in NYC. In all my time I have never encountered such an abysmal experience. Thing went south from the get go. I had to wait for over 30 minutes to speak to a person at checkin when there was literally only one person ahead of me. I know that could happen in a hotel like Marriott in NYC around checkout time when there are 50 people trying to check out, but there was really no apparent reason here. I don’t think I have ever waited that long to check in. Finally, when I was able to approach the checkin counter at around 6:30pm, I was told that the room that I have booked 6 months in advance is not available and they would only be able to check me in at 10pm on New Years Eve! I asked if I heard this correctly as that did not make any sense as the check in is at 3pm. How could that be possible if I had a confirmed booking at a premium hotel with a $400 a night room price tag. They said sorry we can’t help you can you please stand aside so I can help the next person… I was so shocked that I did not even know what to say. I only had one night in Singapore and I wanted to watch the sunset from my beautiful suite and go explore the city ASAP instead of dealing with this nonsense.     Great Hotel
    The rooms are in great condition and the staff is wonderful. Also, the location is perfect for sightseeing. I highly recommend staying here if you are going to spend a few days in Singapore or have a business meeting.
