It was ok…
booked for a New Year’s Eve stay. Beautiful building. Very impressed. advised we had to pay for parking with a QR code at the desk, then told it would need to be paid again at 0800 for the next day. Check out was at 11 and I would have to pay for an additional six hours? Yikes there were only two working elevators out of three for the 15+floors. At the time it was not an issue. The room was spacious. It smelled slightly but it is an old building so ok fine. I did call down for an extra blanket because there was only a thin cover and a sheet. When the blankets arrived I was taken aback….they were the saddest thread bear itchy blankets I have ever seen Then the silliness started….on the way out one of the elevators was stuck on the 17th floor. So now there is one working elevator for 18 floors. My husband and I thought we could pregame at the bar. $15 for premixed old fashioneds. Over priced and not good. The cherries were right though so that was a plus. After our event at 0330 in the morning we were awakened by a fire alarm. Once reach outside by the stairwell it was explained the wiring is old and “the building does this sometimes” I do not hold this against the property, it was just an unfortunate event. So once cleared by the FD to return to our rooms…oh remember there was one elevator for now 100+ people who just want to go back to bed. The breakfast was probably the worst of it all next to the sad prison blankets. Over all we had an experience

Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel has fun old-school vibe. Rooms are huge but beds are small (double rather than queen even though queens could easily fit) and the matresses are very hard. Lots of eating options close by.

Location is great if you are a walker. Historic building is lovely. My only issue is they did not provide me with the partial waterview room I booked.They did reduce the cost difference, but it would have been nice to get the room I ordered.

I used this hotel for my coming and going stays of a cruise. VERY central location for the Tampa port but not for food after 9pm! Good hotel the walls could use a paint job of a touch up. Good and clean hotel

Never again
30 dollars for unsecured parking is ridiculous. The beds are the most uncomfortable I have ever been in. The hotel is in desperate need of repairs and the housekeepers need to be more thorough, there were used towels hanging on our bathroom door and trash in the trash can. The location was the only thing good but not worth the 300 dollars for a night.
