Location is great but it is noisy.
When we arrived in Cairo we were greeted by Mohamad holding holding his yellow Guardian Guest House sign. He helped us get our tourist visas and then into waiting van. We were delighted when we arrived and opened our curtains to reveal a full view of the Giza Pyramids and The Sphinx. It was a real thrill. The two young boys working at the counter were incredibly helpful at all times. The owner was sincere and kind. Breakfast was good with scrambled eggs, cereal, fruit, yogurt, bread, cheeses, juice and coffee. The pros: Fantastic location for sight seeing, restaurants, shopping, Call to Prayer, and Giza Pyramids light show. Cons: It is noisy. The locals all look after the dogs and at night the dogs look after "their little area" and packs of dogs bark at cars passing through the area. The Call to Prayer speakers are right outside the hotel window and so are the ones used for the evening Light Show. It is very noisy. Also, there is some extreme poverty and with tourism down shop keepers are quite intense at times. If you are a horse lover beware that from your window at the hotel you will witness some sad things regarding the treatment of horses. Many horses were eating out of the dumpster and the sound of whipping greatly disturbed me. The hotel staff are fantastic. And honest.

Great people, great view!
This is a wonderful hotel. Family run, they make sure you have everything you need. Great view of the pyramids. Super helpful and friendly staff. Will personally escort you to a good restaurant to make sure you are treated well. The pyramid view rooms are on to street, so can get a tad noisy... Not a big deal though. Located right next to a mosque, you can get woken up by prayers in the night and early morning. Just bring ear plugs and you'll be fine. Strongly recommend this hotel.

The view... you go for it and you stay for it.
The staff was wonderful and helpful. The breakfast buffet is good and very filling. I much preferred being near the Giza plateau with its incredible view than staying in filthy Cairo with the terrible smog that makes you want to throw up your lungs in an instant. Also, I booked the room with a standard view but the manager let me have the pyramids view without any extra charge. Beside, the rooms are huge and look like a traditional arabian palace.

Location,location,location w/ perfect pyramid view
Outstanding hotel. A+++ for good customer service and helpful staff. We came in a bit early but they were able to check us in within 30 mins so we don't need to walk around pyramids with our backpacks. We booked the special pyramid-view room and it is totally worth the upgrade. You are literally right in front/center of the pyramids. Alternatively you can go to their top terrace and get even better/higher-up. They have sound/light show at 7pm and you can get the best view from their terrace. A great hotel run by a nice family, highly recommend if you want to stay a night in Giza.

Left a day early 2 star at best !!
This guest house is directly facing the pyramids but is very old and tired ! Beds are hard decor is old and needs replacing. Tv and Internet did not work. The water was off completely for 24 hrs so we were unable to shower or use the toilet. We were offered a bucket and cola bottle to get a wash with !!! Breakfast was typical Egyptian with only one cereal (cornflakes) no bread and warm milk, omelettes to order were very greasy !! On the plus side the people were extremely nice and helpful but they couldn't make the place stay able we left a day early after being woken at 3am by barking dogs which went on till 7am ! We moved to a hotel close to the airport which was cheaper and so much better. This is a 2 star property in a very loud Egyptian "hawker" area so you will be constantly harassed for money and generally made to feel uncomfortable
