    Great inn!

Cutest inn. Very clean, great friendly staff. Their restaurant is pretty good with cozy outdoor seating area. Pool area is great, they have time blocked for adult swim only.

    Calistoga

PROS- Spacious room, pool area is nice. Clean. Many areas around property to lounge. CONS- No hot water in the room in the morning, room located near laundry room - loud, room shakes during wash cycle. Constant flow of water from shower head which people were aware of... This during a major California drought is not acceptable and should be fixed IMMEDIATELY.

I wish the pool was warmer.

The grounds were clean and safe. Our room was comfortable and clean, exactly what you'd want. The decor was a little quirky. I was happy to have a small refrigerator. We picked this motel because of the mineral pools. I enjoyed soaking in one, looking up at the stars was wonderful. I only wish the water was hotter. The large pool, in fact, felt cold to me. Not what my arthritic body needs. We didn't try the restaurant, which was open for limited hours due to COVID. The hot tub and spa were closed due to COVID. No mud baths for us! Next time!

A retreat for the two of us.

This was a delightful last minute booking. Lucky us. The pools and hot tub were wonderful, the bicycles for riding around town and the drip coffee in our room to enjoy on our little patio outside in the morning were a few of our highlights. Thank you!

As a local, I like to come over when friends are in town to experience Calistoga, and thought I’d give you a try this time. I really wanted to enjoy it—I really, really did. I waited patiently for an hour and a half when our room wasn’t clean upon check in time. We were given a key to the pool, however it was crowded, lots of kiddos, and nowhere to sit. We bought a bottle of wine, and waited. The staff was overwhelmed, but nice. Was a little disappointed with pool closing time, as it didn’t allow for swimming after dinner when the no-kids opportunity was available. The next am, we ate breakfast, and requested a late checkout (on a Monday), and the clerk refused. I mentioned my “patience” the day before when I checked in and my room wasn’t available at the listed check in time (maybe we could make up that time with a late check-out?). Still, a hard “no”, but a “thanks for your patience yesterday”. So no pool time, no proper customer service given the hotel’s inadequate staffing or overwhelmed state (I understand, but not my fault). If you’re looking for a great hotel around the same price, spend a tiny bit more and go to Indian Springs—it’s worth it.

    Fun and friendly stay

This is my third stay here and they never disappoint! Was fun to see the updates lobby and the beautiful soon to be restaurant. Had a great time taking the bikes out and hanging by the pool. Rooms are cute and comfortable. I’m sure I will be back!
