Overall it was okay except that I had to get help getting back into the room every time I went out. Door was not releasing when I swiped the key card and turned handle to open it, even after maintenance replaced parts and tested it. I also was not aware until I checked in that they put an additional hold on my credit card for $50.00 a night for supposed incidentals (whatever those were as there was no bar or safe or anything of that nature in the room and no room service) being on a strict budget this was a big concern and problem. The staff was very nice with the door issues and the room overall was comfortable. Uncertain if I would return given the circumstances however

Getaway
When we go to Buffalo, 90% stay in Hampton Inn Airport, 10% in others hotels. Before pandemic, we gave 5 stars review. This time, the floor was sticky, carpet need more vacuum. The cleaner came in five minutes and cleaned the floor. Bathroom was clean but no box tissue, need to get one from the front counter. Bed was very firm and everyone could have a nice sleep. Breakfast was as good as before. Comparatively new TV in room, very impressive.

No Clean room
While driving to hotel we got a phone call to see where we were , we were 20 mins away. When we got to hotel doors were locked and when we did get in our room wasn’t ready or cleaned yet this was at 10:15 pm. We ended up going to visit family at another hotel while waiting by 11 no phone call so we ended up get a room at another hotel.
