Craigmyle one night stand
-checkin was easy, and room quite spacious and quiet. -excellent buffet breakfast ;nice sitting room. -kinda neat having the castle looking down on you while having breakfast -cost a bit more, but liked having capability of cancelling if needed. -OK for me since room was down, but some guests might find the walk up to rooms more difficult, as was the shortage of onstreet parking...both noted by you in the site writeup. I did not have a car.

Enjoyable stay
Staff was attentive and friendly. The room is nice and clean, very comfortable bed. Coffee and tea are available at all time. Beautifully decorated living room shared between guests and we enjoyed reading there to wind down.

Great location, room needs to be cleaner
Stay was excellent in most parts but cleanliness of the room I was in was poor. Very easy fixes would make big difference, old rug and other dust collectors should go, shower curtain wrong length and hangs in the water which is slow to drain, bed cover was dirty, head board dusty, fan in bathroom clogged with dust etc. Apart from room quality - location and services were great, free laundry, tea, guest kitchen, continental breakfast all really nice.

Lovely stay.
The Craigmyle is a beautiful old property, lovely and clean, with a very comfortable bed with nice linens. The room I had was perfect for one guest, but would be a little cramped for 2. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was perfect to start my day.

Old Victoria
Very pleasant stay. Super clean and quiet. Very peasant staff. Breakfast, though continental, was much better than I expected. Parking was kind of a nightmare, though.
