The Craigmyle, Victoria
Lovely old mansion next to a castle
Went to visit my daughter in Victoria and this B&B was very close to where she lives. It’s a lovely old house next to a castle and in a quiet neighbourhood but close to the bus stop and a 25 minutes walk to downtown and 20 minutes to Oak Bay. Very clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable, if you don’t mind the stairs, my suite was on the 3rd floor and quiet lovely.

The Craigmyle, Victoria
loads of potential but very disappointing.
this place has SO much potential but is in serious need of some upgrades. the suite itself was really lovely, like having a little heritage apartment all to yourself. it was not that clean, the top bedspread definitely did not seem like it had just been washed, the sheets, of course, were clean. i know it is a heritage building but some things, like the window ledges, were very dirty, all the standard things were clean tho. the bed was HORRENDOUS. the mattress was unreal, seemed as old as the building. one side of the mattress was completely depressed, like someone very heavy had slept in it for a long time and their body had created the depression. i kept rolling into my husband due to this, ugh. i have stayed in a number of heritage hotels and never hear the people above. our upstairs neighbour was home at midnight and up at 6:30, we heard everything and could not sleep after he woke up, then the cleaners came in around 8am and we could hear them, quite unpleasant. we went into the shared dining room for the complimentary buffet breakfast but there was some issue and there was no buffet but they did take our order for breakfast which was satisfactory. the people working were very, very lovely, full marks for service! one other little thing to note, the wifi password that they display in the room is incorrect, we realized upon leaving that the correct password was in the welcome letter we received, pretty lazy to not reprint the in-room literature with the correct info.

Very Good8.0
I really enjoyed the Craigmyle. It was in a very quiet neighborhood. The bed was so comfy, I had the best sleep I've had in a while. Unfortunately, I didn't get to have breakfast as I was there for a race that started at 7am, but I would definately stay there again next year

A Night at The Craigmyle
Good stay at The Craigmyle, right in front of the Craigdarroh Castle. I wish I control the room temperature. Nice kitchenette inside the mini-suite. I am unable to rate the breakfast because my flight out of Victoria was scheduled early in the morning.
