Well Appointed
A quaint well appointed heritage hotel. The room was small but had everything we needed. The service staff were very friendly and supportive during our stay.

2/10 Poor

We called ahead for early check-in and or to leave our luggage. We were told no problem although upon arrival no rooms were ready and they had no place to store our luggage. When we were able to check into our room it was very small not like any of the pictures on their website and freezing. We tried to turn up the thermostat but only they were able to turn on the heat (it was 60 in the room). We went to dinner when we returned it was still freezing in the room. They brought us a heater which after a few hours warmed the room a little, it did not heat the bathroom. The way they handled this problem was more of a problem for them. They should have moved us to another room. We would not recommend this hotel, very disappointing and not worth the money.

A little get away
Very clean and well decorated , suiting the time period , maintained the ambience of the original house . Food and service was excellent and timely Rooms were clean and neat , Bathroom newly renovated very nice . rooms were smaller as expected because they were bedrooms for the family's children or servants quarters , but that was in keeping with the original home and still lots of room . Excellent architecture and lovely interior wood works . Would highly recommend it A complimentary bottle of red wine was waiting for us as it was our 40th anniversary , a nice little surprise .

8/10 Very good

The room was clean and lovely, however, no housekeeping is offered with multiple nights stay, (although towels were offered for the asking). This can be attributed to being eco-friendly but felt a bit lacking for the cost of the room. The air conditioner was quite noisy. The grounds were well kept but the lobby and indoor spaces seem dark and dated and lacked housekeeping. There did not seem to be much of a vibe encouraging use of the restaurant or lounge for a September stay. All in all we did enjoy the privacy and accommodation. We feel there could be much more potential to include some nice amenities such as breakfast, discounts towards the restaurant, shuttle services.

6/10 Good

The staff was very friendly. That was the best part about it. The maid never came in my room the whole time, which was all right, but I did notice lots of crumbling paint everywhere. There was no elevator and no porters to help with luggage. The lady at the desk kindly helped carry my bag upstairs. Service in the restaurant was uneven, as was the food. One waiter was excellent, one terrible.
