This hotel is in what I would call an authentic neighborhood. It is just a couple of blocks south of the historic district, but not really part of it. On the plus side, the rooms are clean, have air conditioning, appear to be fairly recently renovated, beds are comfortable. On the con side (or plus side depending on your agenda) the hotel is wedged between two streets with a lot of bus stops. This creates a lot noise starting just before 7:00 AM and running late into the evening. That said, I was able to catch a bus literally just outside the hotel to the airport for only 7 pesos vs the 350 pesos the taxi driver charged this naive tourist on arrival (I've since learned the going rate is 270). There are usually street vendors selling snacks and drinks to bus passengers. Bear in mind, this is an authentic urban Mexican neighborhood and major transit point just a couple of blocks from downtown. Banks, Oxxo and other conveniences, electronics shops are no more than a block or two away. The hotel restaurant has a fairly basic and reasonably priced menu. Room service is also available. Breakfast buffet is only 99 pesos. I received a voucher for which I was told was good for free breakfast throughout my 4 day stay. I was later told otherwise by restaurant staff. Probably a misunderstanding due to my poor Spanish skills. In any case I did find all of the hotel's staff to be friendly and helpful throughout my stay.

The hotel was clean/ room was on the small side/ water would leak out from the shower to to the bedroom floor, under the bed. The area surrounding the hotel is considered UNSAFE at night atleast by my uber driver and hotel staff.

The place is clean and not too far(about 6 blocks) from the historic center of Guadalajara. Staff is helpful and overall good value hotel. Before you book be aware that the rooms are really small. We stayed 2 adults and a minor and that was pushing it. I don’t see 4 adults staying in these rooms. Also the corner where it’s located it’s not very clean or pleasant, graffiti everywhere and trash on the streets. Right at the bus stop where all the locals commute.

The location of the hotel is in the middle of several bus stops and our room unfortunately was on the side of the street I don’t recommend this hotel if you want a restful night this area is loud and busy

There were a few issues with this hotel. First, when we checked in we were told that because we got a jacuzzi that were out of service we would be downgraded to a junior suite. We said it was fine, but then they decided to continue to charge us the king suite. We asked them for the invoice reflecting the price difference and we’re given attitude by the front desk when we did so. Second, when you showered, it would wet the entire bathroom floor and bedroom area. It was a mess, and the staff said they fixed it but it would still wet the entire floor. Third, the waiter at the hotel restaurant was horrible. The first day, he did not offer us what was included in our breakfast package, we had limited options. Then second day, he asked for a ticket which he didn’t ask the day before and provided us with horrible service on both days. He felt a sense of entitlement which he needed to prove. When he gave us our receipt and change back he took money; there was no gratuity included, he just decided to tip himself. Fourth, the sheets on the bed were dirty. There were red stains on the sheets. Lastly, the hotel is located where buses pick up and drop off people. There is heavy traffic. You hear everything going on outside. It’s like you’re standing in the street. The only good thing about the hotel was Martin. He works in the front helping with your luggage. He is hardworking and made sure we were taken care of. I wish they had more employees like him.
