Perfect for 1 night in Oxford.

No frills, extremely clean and only a walk away from Oxford city centre. I really needed a parking spot and, although initially the car park was full, a spot freed up at night. Otherwise, there's free parking on the street til 9am.

    3 stars ???

Overall the Guest House was fine. The room was clean, light and airy. The bathroom, though compact was also clean (however drainage smell emanating from sink). However due to , I believe, lack of staff the breakfast was a continental take away and had to be eaten in our room, very difficult as there wasn't a table. With only one member of staff doing everything, including cleaning the rooms, this was understandable. Although the inside of the building was clean, the outside needed some serious work to be carried out. The front needed a good sweep, the steps leading up to the door were broken and the handrail was not fixed properly, could be very dangerous. The redeeming features were the car park and the close proximity to the City Centre. I would definitely stay again if the above issues were addressed

Do not use this property unless desperate.

This hotel or should be a B&B of no more than 2 stars. Compared to Premier Inn or Travelodge or other budget hotels this place is vastly overpriced. The rate here should be no more than £30 or £40 max. We were here for 2 nights and had to live out of our suitcases. The room had been a small living room of a house with an en suite placed in a corner. The parking site was only for 6 cars max but they squeezed 8 in. This meant that if you where in the front line another car was placed directly behind. On looking at the property from the street one wondered whether to enter or not. The property looked liked, as they say in England, a dos house or hostel for refugees broken front steps, paint peeling from the front door etc.

    Wonderful

A lovely B&B. We arrived early, left our car and picked up our key before the room was ready, but it meant we didn't have to rush back for check-in. Car park was small, but the owner assured me I wouldn't be blocked in and he ensured it on the morning. Our room was clean, it was quiet despite being at the front on a main road (good quality double glazing) and was 10 minutes waking distance from the city centre. It was absolutely perfect for what we needed.

    Oxford City Break.

Our stay overall was very good, Martin the host was very helpful and other staff were friendly. The room was clean and the bed comfy, although the shower was a bit of a squeeze. The location was excellent as it was only a 15min walk to the city centre and it had a local shop next door with a nice little cafe on the next block, very convenient. Would go back, no problem.

    Great location

We found it a bit cramped and unfriendly. The location was really good. The bedroom was adequate and the bed was comfy. The dining room was far too cramped. As it is self service my husband had to keep moving to allow other guests to get past. On arrival there was no offer to carry my case upstairs even though it was obvious I was struggling. We found the place very impersonal. We are used to at least a welcoming smile. I would not stay here again despite the good location

    Great find

This was a great find! Well located within easy walking distance of the town centre and all sights. Parking is cosy but well managed by the very helpful Martyn, and was a real benefit compared to so many other places that had no parking at all. Rooms were spacious and clean, and well appointed though a plug socket near to a mirror would have helped with hair drying! Small point. Breakfast was plentiful, varied and fresh.

A bit of a walk from the colleges and downtown Oxford, but --although the exterior and hallways are a bit cramped and worn--the room was lovely, newly-painted, with comfortable beds and all needed facilities. Excellent lighting for bed time reading, and windows that easily open and close.
