4/10 Fair

The hostel is at a great location - easily accessible through bus or trains, and access to bars and clubs is great too. You need to know this property is not well managed and is quite old - from creaking wooden flooring to windows that either don't go up or don't stay open. The room was quite small than what it seems in the pictures and the ventilation is pretty bad. As soon as you enter any floor you get hit by a strong smell of chemicals/cleaners because of their daily frequent usage on the wood floor as well as no passage of air in the lobby. Inside the room, they have provided a big table fan which improves air circulation but is equally loud. For the price they are charging I felt it wasn't a great deal to live in an unventilated place with no AC and you have to pay extra for towels too.

It’s doable
It’s ok for a one-night stay. Place is old but I didn’t mind it. No AC so it can get hot even with windows cracked open. I personally would come back if I stay in Vancouver for a night again.

8/10 Very good

There were two front desk people at a time. Both at my early check in and after five when I returned the men were exceptionaly kind and helpful. It is a health concern that there are no paper towels in the kitchen for people to use before they cook. It is very dirty everywhere.... the dirt of AGES.

Was my first Hostel stay and it was great! Felt safe and will definitely stay here again. I love the old building! The old wood smells and brick walls really is captivating. I got to meet the cat Oreo; what a beauty! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Place is near to almost everything and that’s the main reason I’ve chosen to stay there. But only for one night not more for me at least! Because there is lots of voice on streets when you wanna sleep at night!
