Great location and place to stay in Lisbon
This is a great place to stay that is right beside Rossio Square where all the action is. Close to the Metro and anything that you wanted to do. The staff is friendly and take great care of you. Make sure to visit Sintra on your visit...

Not Good Value
Basic hotel. 65 steep and narrow stairs up to our room! No elevator/lift. Stayed 5 nights. No maid service to our room during that period. Made our own beds, got our own supplies, e.g.. toilet roll, soap, from reception. Not good. Room had a very low ceiling at one end.... like 1m. Basic furnishings as no room for anything other than a bed. Disappointing. WiFi was free and good. Hotel is very centrally located just off Rossio Plaza and close by the National Theatre. Nice cold breakfast but not until 08:30h so if you want to beat the tourist rush you have to miss breakfast. However, there is a kitchen with available supplies so if you want to boil an egg, you can. Multilingual reception staff were nice, friendly and helpful. Poorest value hotel that we've stayed at in Europe in years. Would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone with mobility issues!

Very Good8.0
Excellent house and location.
My cousin and I stayed here for 4 nites. The staff are excellent. They go out of their way to assist in any way and made us feel welcome and like friends. The location could not be better....close to Rossio square, transport, metro, bus, tram and train are extremely convenient. And lots of things are within walking distance too. We highly recommend the Lisbon Story Guesthouse.

It's a okay stay
The location of the hotel is excellent. You cannot get better. However, be warned that because your are right in the city center, it is noisy until really late at night. The service is really good, and the hotel is overall in great condition. The breakfast is fair, and internet is available, however a bit slow in the room we had. Here are the bad points: this is a shared bathroom guesthouse. Usually I have no problems with this however they only clean it once, in the morning, and they provide only one hand towel and one for the floor for the shower. Let me say that at the end of the day, those towels are pretty gross. And if a client does something disgusting the toilet, well we are all stuck with that for the rest of the day. For your personal towel they provide, they do not change it so I guess you have to ask for a new one when needed. The room was not cleaned during our stay and is pretty small. We had the Tejo room. Do not take this room as it is RIGHT IN FRONT of the bathrooms, which means that you can hear people getting in and out during the night. And also some more noisy people doing their business. It is really annoying. The other rooms are away from the bathrooms so I guess they are more comfortable...

This place should not be called a hotel. Its more like a bed and breakfast. NO CREDIT CARD ACCEPTED without notice. Floors were dirty with cockroaches under the bed. No elevator. Bathroom needs shower repair. Al linens need replacement they were old, stained and abused. There is no management on site to resolve issues. Owner was traveling and did not care and was not available. DO NOT RECOMMEND. STAY OUT
