Not as advertised
This hotel is not nearly as nice as the listing or reviews would lead you to believe. The halls and rooms are quite worn and very dated. Several of the other hotels we stayed in while traveling in Japan had lower ratings, but were much nicer.

A comfortable stay in Tokyo
This is the second time we stayed here over the span of 2 weeks. We found the hotel comfortable however this time we did have some trouble with our WIFI connection. It would be good to include information about on-site laundry facilities in the amenities description and again I would say having a shuttle bus to Shinjuku station would be very helpful.

First few days in Tokyo
Nice hotel, very nice location in Shjnjuku near the Golden Gai and Kabukicho. Lots of restaurants open late within 5 minutes walk. Check in was very fast, front desk staff spoke English very well. Only downside would be the size of the rooms, which is regular in Tokyo.

No complaints whatsoever. Clean hotel in a convenient location.

Very good hotel with exception of service issues
Very good hotel, good location, nearby transport (5 mins from Metro and 10mins from Shinhuku train station by foot) and plenty of restaurants. The only exception was service, this may be cultural but when I want to book a restaurant on the morning of check out for lunch and the staff refuse because I am checking out that day. They also charge by the hour if you want a late checkout which i find a bit unreasonable this is the first time I have been asked that for a 1 hour delay in checkout.

Great views and good location
We stayed in a standard designer room on the 16th floor. The view from our room was great. The room was a reasonable size by Japanese standards and had all the amenities you would expect. Rooms were quiet and dark at night. The rooftop patio would be nice in warmer weather. Lots of great food in the area and several train station within easy walking distance. Staff were friendly enough, but overall service was just ok.

Economy double room small but generally comfortable/clean. Fifteen minute walk to central Shinjuku station and 5 min walk to closer subway line.

Very good hotel
This is our first visit to Tokyo and we spent 5 nights at Shinjuku Granbell Hotel. Overall experience was very good. We stayed at economy double. Room is small as expected. Bathroom has all the amenities. Best part is the bidget, we adore it. Close enough to the major Shinjuku Station (we walked to and from there all the time). I recommended it especially for first timers as it is very central. My only comment is the laundry services. There are 2 washers but only 1 dryer so quite a wait when there are users ahead. Should add one more dryer.

conveniently located near Shinjuku station, this hotel offers bad quality wifi, below average breakfast, very small rooms for the price.
