    Sometimes, It’s the little things

Mixed bag, great staff, friendly check in. Very clear on entry parking is paid for, but paid on exit and then told it’s included, just tell me on check in. Room was clean but clearly not hoovered properly. Coffee machine with no instructions. Getting an ice bucket, with ice, from the bar should not be that difficult. No food served between 11am and 12 noon, really, thought this was a hotel. Room enormous, great rain shower, comfy bed, quiet when in room. Slept like a baby.

Disappointing after high expectations. Loud rooms.

Was a rather baffling experience, the reviews indicated this was some super luxury hotel and simply wasn’t for the price paid. There seemed to be far better located and quality hotels in Liverpool particularly around Albert Dock that I wish I’d went to instead. I’m surprised to see indicate this hotel is walkable, it isn’t at all. You have a retail park about 15 minute walk and a Costco about 10 minutes walk, if you were to walk to the docks I don’t think you’d feel comfortable. The hotel in general is in a pretty rough and ready industrial area, it’s a bizarre experience to arrive at. We had multiple problems during the stay including a stain on the carpet of our first room, poor repair in general and for some reason the hotel put us directly above a music act on the Friday night that was going on till 11pm. We had to move rooms and didn’t really receive an apology and appeared to get a room that was smaller, as it had no tub. The concierge didn’t really acknowledge this was a problem when told to move us “you asked to move rooms?”, no we were forced to move rooms as it was simply impossible to relax in that room with the level of noise for the birthday party. Apparently this isn’t the norm but no one really went out of their way to help us on this matter or to actively apologize on the situation. It was just something that was accepted that a live band would be directly below our room for the majority of our nights stay so be aware if you are given a level

    Wouldnt bother

Check in was fine it started when we got into the room where we found someome elses suitcase and dirty clothes in one corner, went to reception to inform them and they couldn't care less. Room had no coffee or milk in and i asked if i could be given some, again it never arrived when they said the maid will bring it. For what you pay for a night stay you'd expect much more but they just dont seem interested. Try and get room service is another story altogether its near impossible with out going to reception and asking, will upload pictures of the room but in a nutshell pay over the top for a room and spend your stay at reception, were they couldnt care less.

    As a seasoned traveller, I wouldn't recommend.

I wouldn't recommend this place. Good factory conversion. The hotel is large and clean, parking is on-site and paid for but not expensive. The location is not really near anything within walking distance unless you like Costco. The corridors are ludicrously dark. I mean, we all like mood lighting, but if your peepers aren't too clever, bring a torch, I kid you not. However, I wouldn't stay again and here's why: I chose one of the more expensive rooms @ circa £200 for one night plus breakfast. The room was huge (great) but the TV was about 15 feet from the bed and not facing it. Why? There's more. There are no opening windows. I like fresh air and there wasn't any. There is a unit in the room that purports to be a climate control, but the minimum you can select is 17c. However, that's inaccurate, the room was like an oven. It was so hot that I had to have a fan brought up, wedge the door open and position it so the fan blew out just to move some air. See photo. I've spent time in China and Korea, and this place was hotter in a UK autumn. There's more: the only movement of air at all is via the super bathroom extractor. But that goes off about 11 pm and doesn't come on again till morning. So you'll be there like a roast chicken in a Tupperware box. Breakfast is served by a chap. Portions are small, you have to insist to get more. Quality was good. In all, a £250 experience for one night with breakfast and parking. It simply isn't worth that. Stay elsewhere.
