Lovely and great location, but hotel curfew!
I would recommend this hotel if you want to be walking distance from the Colloseum. Also, you get great privacy because you get your own suite (with a terrace if you request it and if it’s available). It had lovely decor and the staff was super friendly! The only con about this hotel was that you have to leave your key with the front desk each time you leave the hotel (we did this all across Italy) and need to arrange a time to get back to your hotel if it’s going to be late at night (only had to do this at this hotel). We got locked out of our hotel one night. Thankfully a security guard down the street was very helpful and called our hotel to let us back in. Although, it was like 2am, but can you blame us for wanting to be out late while being on vacation...If you don’t want a curfew, it’s probably a good idea not to stay here, but if you don’t mind and want a more authentic Italian experience, then stay here. Nonetheless, we had a good experience. The owner was beyond hospitable and even made us a cappuccino before the complimentary breakfast was available on our first morning there.

Exceptional 10.0
True Rome hotel, great stay!
Beautiful hotel, very detailed decor, fabric walls, mosaic floors, ornate trim, and yet modern bathroom. We loved the roof terrace to end the day. The Coliseum is visible and many eateries very close to the hotel. This place was a great value for what we got.

Horrible Rude Desk Clerk
The front clearly was very rude! We had to leave early in the morning for a flight (430 am) and we were locked in the hotel! The front door was locked and no one was at the desk. The day desk clerk was given the information and set up a car to pick us up. I will not stay here again because of this and can not recommend it.

The hotel, every room was fully decorated. There were four of us and each had s different style room. It’s two min walk from the Colosseum. Nice restaurants nearby. Friendly host. If I had to be picky about something, the rooms are rather small, not too much space if you have big luggage.
