Cleanliness, easy access to freeway, shops restaurant and others

The hotel is very old and dusty. The receptionist was not quite friendly.

Very nice room with extra sofa bed in the sitting area. Check-in person was friendly. Nice lounge. My daughters took advantage of the pool. Breakfast was above average with eggs. bacon, pastries, breads, cereal, yogurts, etc. The only slight negative was that the hotel is in an industrial area with only two restaurants within walking distance. Otherwise, the main shops and restaurants were a few km away.

I organize and arrange professional trips to area for students and professionals as part of my job. I had a weekend in between working out of town and signing on a new place, booked everything through hotels.com and picked the hotel because it seemed a nice and family friendly place. When I arrived there the office staff read my ID and asked if I was local, I explained that I was in town with my kids for 2 days until signing on the home, delays, Covid, etc.. thought nothing of it. I was then fairly rudely told that I had no way of knowing of this policy, that there was no way the app could have prevented me from booking a room I would not be allowed to actually stay in, and that I could talk with the manager 3 days later for my grievance and refunds process in about 5-7 business days. I am grateful I am not broke, because if that was all I had and I was refused the only place I had to stay with my girls and keep them safe, that I’d paid for.. well I didn’t have to face that, and paid out another 300+ for a hotel down the street who were quite accommodating. I will never recommend this hotel in Redding or the chain, based not on the policy but the treatment. Bad form.

It was good, except the bathroom was not cleaned very well, especially in and around the shower. The sack breakfast was disappointing as well, but that's COVID for ya

Everything was great EXCEPT one thing. If check out time isn't until 11am then why is housekeeping entering my room at 9am? There was some noise in the hallway (Christmas morning so excited guests) so i couldn't tell if the knock was on our door or the one next to us. Either way i felt like they were rushing us out by entering so early.. Other than that it was clean, comfortable and people were pleasant.

Good place to stay, nice and clean.

I stood in this hotel last weekend and everything was great as advertised. I booked another stay two nights ago and I found a dirty hand towel under the desk. A little while later my daughter found an eye lash and body hair under the comforter to one of the beds. As we started looking deeper at the condition of the room, we found an old empty yogurt cup and spoon under the bed, candy wrappers and sunflower seeds behind the night stand. We could also hear scratches behind the wall which can only be assumed rodents, but can't confirm.
