Just ok
The Leon Hotel was just fine. It was a low budget hotel that met the basic requirements. However, I have stayed at nicer hotels in NYC for the same price. There was no fridge, so we couldn't refrigerate my medication. I had to keep it iced the whole time. There were also no body wash or conditioner - just shampoo. It was something I didn't prepare for. All in all, it was an ok hotel, nothing to write home about.

Room on Canal
Clean and modern. Free water and tea. You get the very minimum of toiletries, but they are decent, not the super bad kind. They are nice. Great view, a window seating area that you can close off with a curtain. Hand sanitizer in the lobby. Make sure to do all shopping well before hand, not much is open in the hood after mid-evening. There may be one deli nearby (east) to get emergency water and typical bodega stuff. The bodega is clean. The hotel is worth staying at for that price, but be warned, you'll pay extra $20 per night through bc of some crazy daily "destination" or "resort" fee that the actual Leon Hotel will charged as well. No idea why they do this and then they tax you on these destination fees. You get a good sized tv, enough pillows. Be warned room service stops completely around 1-2pm during pandemic. Plenty places to put clothing and belongings, a safe, one chair, luggage rack. Room is decently sized for a king bed for the price per evening.

I just came back! The room was very clean and nice . Bathroom also nice!! Cleanses was 5 stars. One thing I have noticed was for charging outlet! Most hotel in these days they have outlet right next to the bed but I didn't see any. Well I saw a one but it was behind night table .. I wish if they had outlet . As I am a photographer and I needed to charge lots of things :):) Over all it was great.

Poor 2.0
This hotel is very bad
this hotel is so terrible. The quality of the bed was very uncomfortable, The sheets were very old, and the bedding was very dark, so I didn't know if it had been changed. The room was small and shabby. The table was dirty and rotten, and the closet was a small, dirty cabinet. Even more terrible is the bathroom, which is dirty and has a strong urine smell. I don’t know how this hotel has rated to 3.5 stars. We spent $451 for two nights for a business trip on December. I wish I could give this hotel 1*.

Poor 2.0
Misleading photos & information
The only filter I applied when booking hotels was a bathtub, as I need it for my sore back. Not only did my room not have one, but I was told that there was absolutely no bathtubs in the entirety of the hotel when I asked the front desk. This is misleading and disappointing because there were photos indicating the presence of bathtubs. I would’ve paid much less for a room & service like this.

right place at the right time
my stay here was very good. I was there for a few days and was with 3 teenagers. The hotel was quiet and clean, except our room. the room had a window seat which the girls found to be a great place to sit and hangout and watch great view of the city. the hotel is close to everything especially the bakery across the street. But I was very impressed with the staff location and cleanliness, and looking forward to another stay there .

Cannot control the heat. Room was stiflingly hot and the only thing we could do was open the window an inch to listen to the traffic all night. While the room was clean, it could ise some updates to carpeting and scuffed furniture.
