Conveniently located, clean and cozy
We stayed in Madrid as a couple and we liked the coziness and warmth of Madrid city rooms. We arrived earlier than check-in time and were exhausted from traveling and they were kind enough to let us in since the room was available and we really appreciated that gesture. We also had a balcony coming out to the street. The shower was great as it had 4 different functions!!!

Cute little place
Great location. Friendly staff. Nothing fancy but very convenient. WiFi is sketchy and is not functional at all times of day.

Best quality / price I've had in a long time
Great location, just a few steps away from the metro and main attractions. Many restaurants and bars around. The hotel is located in a lively part of the city but you can barely hear noise at night. The room was very clean and the staff very friendly. If I ever have to go back to Madrid I will definitely book this place again.

Great location!
The best aspect of this place is location. It's a 5 minute (or less) walk from Sol, right in the center of Madrid. All the main sites are within walking distance of the hotel, and the entire area is a hub of nightlife. You're a stop away from the High Speed train station using the Cercanius. The hotel also makes an effort to at least have some character. My room was bright and colorful, and plant themed. Despite the abundance of street noise outside - with the balcony doors shut, it was pretty sound-proofed. The young lads behind the desk also deserve a mention too, as they were pretty helpful when I needed their assistance. The only negative I can think of is the shower is absolutely tiny.

Good value, close to everything
Here are good reasons for staying in this hotel: 1. Cheap 2. Clean and well-serviced 3. Close to Metro, buses, taxis, hop on and hop off buses 4. Close to restaurants, fastfoods, tapa bars, souvenir stores, ATMs, pharmacy, a flamenco show, shopping, etc etc 5. Walking distance to Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, Palacio Real, Prado Museum, etc Here are the disadvantages: 1. No lift. You have to carry your luggage 4-5 flights of stairs ( according to hotel mgmt, bldg has historical value hence, no lift is allowed) 2. Rooms are small. 3. It can be noisy. There are pubs downtairs and clients can be noisy. Room walls are paper thin, you can hear conversations next door. I am not a fussy traveler and considered the stairs a way to burn all the calories from the tapas and vinos! The size of the room did not bother me. The noise? Yeah, that is the downer but I have my ear plugs.
