Cozy, Authentic, reasonably priced…Love it.
Truly enjoyed the peacefulness of the hotel, as well, as the cultural experience. It was like a small castle in a Tuscan Village. The stone walls, and interior, are beautiful, there was a comfortable courtyard, soothing sounds of water, and a spectacular rooftop deck area. I woke to the lovely sound of birds singing in the early morning and went to the roof top to watch the sunrise and listen to the birds sing. The really special highlight for me was their chef and breakfast experience. It's more intimate than glamourous. The area has a big open kitchen/cooking area, wood fire oven, with a large wooden community table where you can sit while he cooks breakfast. And what a special experience that was having him cook one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. I give it 5 Stars for the cultural, authentic, and intimate feel. Is it a Ritz Carlton, or W,..? No. If you want something glitzy it's not for you. But if you want something cozy, comfortable, authentic and romantic then go here. My only regret was that I did not spend more time here. Plans are already in the works to go back.
