Let me start off by saying that the staff was great, and the location was fantastic. The motel itself, however, left much to be desired. The first room we got had a jammed lock, so we couldn't get in. We were taken to another room, which had a metal piece joining two pieces of carpet that was, well, sticking up in such a way as to be a massive tripping hazard. The staff member tried to push it down and in to place with no luck, so she gave us another room.
We stayed in this one, but it was not great. My daughter found an empty (used) red solo cup beside her bed, and mine had a hair in it that was definitely not mine. The towel rack in the bathroom was loose, and it looked like it had fallen out in the past and was simply placed back in the wall. The room was not very clean and felt outdated. The beds were hard as rocks, too. We were also unimpressed that the plug behind the night table turned off with the light switch, meaning that our phones didn't charge at night.
All in all, it was a great location with helpful staff, but the facilities need a lot more attention.
