Great location
Tonic is a pretty boutique hotel in a great area. It is stylish and the staff were very nice and printed things for me. The fridge and coffee machine were great. My only caveat is my room was quite dark, not all rooms are like this. Also, it was fine for this trip to visit family but I frequently travel on business and there was no desk. Actually, just using emailing was uncomfortable with no desk.

So much to see, and eat, so little time.
It was wonderful!

Great location and room; AC broken in August
The actual room is exactly as advertised and "big" by Paris standards. The bath takes up a third of the room; though there is no separate shower, there is a shower head that can be maneuvered (though it's easy to soak the floor this way). The neighborhood is wonderful, with many quality restaurants and the metro stop 4 minutes walking slowly. The big complaint was that the air conditioning was not working throughout the hotel, and fans were the only solution offered. It could have been worse, for Paris in August, but we wish we had been informed in advance so that we could have the option of making alternative plans. If not for the AC, it would be the perfect hotel.

Hotel was okay
The hotel looks really nice in the pictures and has a really unique feel to it. Lots of character in the buliding and the location was great. We weren't there for breakfast, so I'm not sure about that. However, the room was extremely hot and the A/C didn't work. There was a fan we tried using but it was so noisy that it was difficult sleeping. The room was also very claustrophobic, difficult to move luggage around and the tub/shower combo in the middle of the room was very odd. The elevator would also leave you halfway between each floor, so you're forced to use the narrow, steep stairs with your luggage. This could be troublesome for anyone of age or who has trouble getting around. The reception was helpful with letting us borrow a bottle opener on our walk and booking us a taxi though, so I was appreciative of that.

Very reasonable place to stay
Small quarters, but well worth the price. Very convenient for all the museums. Lots of restaurants around the area
