There was no hot water in the shower. Loud music at night.

Exceptional
Loved the El Greco. If you like charm and hospitality this is the place for you. Property is well maintained, very clean and staff are great. If you're expecting hot water forget it. We didn't have it for the 4 days we spent there. Weather was warm and beautiful so this wasn't an issue for us. You can walk 10 minutes to downtown, and 10 minutes in the opposite direction to the "Fish Fry" destination. Junkaroo Beach is right across the street. The pool area is nice and secluded from the street. My husband and I would definitely recommend the El Greco.

We found the room pretty run-down, but the staff were friendly and helpful. Not bad for a quick stay. Great location!

El Greco - April 2021
Little hole-in-the-wall hotel in the shadow of Holiday Inn - where I should have stayed. Good: Staff responsive and courteous. Tiki bar across the Bay Street serves excellent food - hotel has no restaurant. Convenience store across the side street for cokes, beers, liquor and snacks. Bad: No hot water in room even after notifying staff, swimming pool not cleaned, WIFI spotty at best.

Not all bad, but needs lots of improvement
I would like to start by pointing out the positives about our stay at El Greco Hotel: 1. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. Very eager to assist and provide information 2. The hotel is conveniently located right across from the beach and within walking distance to many restaurants (very overpriced) 3. Room cleaning service everyday Now the disappointing part: 1. Hot water issues. The issues started as soon as we got there. We stayed 3 nights, and only one of the days we actually had hot water to shower. The hotel sent a plumber to investigate why the lack of hot water-- he worked on it for 40 min or so, and it finally worked-- for 20 min-- and no hot water after that for the remainder of the trip. 2. The rooms are very outdated, with water stains on the walls, and super outdated furniture. The bed would make noise at every turn. Again, thank you to the staff who has been extremely nice. But this hotel needs some improvement, especially for the price. I`ve stayed wayyy nicer hotels for $50 bucks a night.

It's an older hotel so some things I expected. Some staff at the front desk was very helpful and courteous. The worse thing was the wifi. Stayed 5 nights and most days there was no service.

Good
The water had a wired smell, and the bathroom wasn't as clean as it should be. The people at the reception were very nice.
