The people were really nice, however to get into the hotel they need to buzz you in. And in order for them to do that someone needs to be at the front desk. Sometimes we’d be waiting 10 minuets just to be let in.

An excellent location, clean, good hearty breafast
Rate it 4/5 for a 6 night stay. Overall a good site and a decent place,.Left a slip of paper at the front desk door one morning at 6 A.M. as I left for Cambridge for a day. Either other resident destroyed paper or hotel failed to act on requests. 3 points: 1) Unit is in the basement, asked for LOW heat at night as the heater could not be turned on. 2) Notified them the small florecent light over tha sink couldn't be turn off, hard to sleep w/ light on (I ended up pulled out tube). 3) Many janotorial staff are Eastern European, the std of cleaniess may be different. Asked them to bleach and clean the toilet base (joint with floor) as yellow stained rink existed (urine?). I never got any reply or action. Hotel is at a fantastic location close to 3 train stations and Metro stn with HSBC bank machines 2 mins away. The hotel is 5 minute from the King's Cross Stn.

Pleasant Stay/Good Value/Convenient Location
My daughter and I stayed at the Princess Hotel in Dec 2019. I selected it because I had planned to take the Chunnel to Paris and it was close to St Pancras( and the Tube for general travel). I selected an economic room with shared bath on the top floor. This was fine for us with an interesting view of the street and small garden across the street. My daughter was excited to see the rooftops, chimneys and, unbelievably, a fox! There is no lift so one must take one's bags up, so be prepared for that, The room was small but functional and clean. The bed was comfortable and the room was well-heated. The bathroom was fine. On the top floor there is a shower room with a good-sized shower but no place to change and a bathroom/shower which was fine but the shower itself is smallish but worked well for us. The staff kept it clean and we never had to wait for it. There is a very spacious shared bathroom/shower on the landing between the ground floor and the first floor, but we opted not to use it. The front desk was staffed 24/7 by very helpful staff. The neighborhood felt safe for 2 women traveling together and was walkable to the British Library( 3 blocks) and the British Museum( 15-20 min walk). There is no breakfast provided and no option for one but there are plenty of coffee shops near the station. We would stay at Princess Hotel again.

Great Location & Friendly
Right near St. Pancras station, quiet outside, clean, yet small rooms, but to be expected, so it's alright. Can sometimes hear people in other rooms and doors etc., but would stay again.

Well situated near to St Pancras
We paid £116 for a one night stay for a double room and shared bathroom. Upon arrival we were offered an en suite room for an extra £20 but declined. You can keep your luggage behind the reception desk if you arrive prior to 3pm check in time. Stayed on the 3rd floor (lots of steep stairs to climb please be aware). The room was very small, but clean & had a sink. Wish we had had more than one plug in the room for chargers etc. Shared bathrooms were small but clean & a towel each was provided. Bed was comfortable. Ideal distance from the train station, it is literally at the bottom of the street and across the road. There are a few restaurants and coffee shops in the close area. Average and small hotel but ideally situated to Kings Cross St Pancras if that’s where you need to be.

Apartment Option: Recommend
We stayed in an apartment that belongs to Princess Hotel. It's a distance away from the main hotel, which is just block or so away from Kings Cross and St. Pancras stations, but the staff drove me over after I checked in. It was perfect - clean, comfortable, with 3 beds ( 1 double in a bedroom and another double and twin in the main living space, behind the couch) and a kitchen, in a quiet residential neighborhood (on edge of Islington, not too far from Camden) that was a lovely canal-side walk to restaurants, bars and shops in Granary Square and Kings Cross. If you would like more space and to experience a residential neighborhood, while still being walkable to public transport, highly recommend.

Expected more
The triple room had no outlets near the bed. Sharing the bathroom with other guests was a pain when you needed to go. Stairs were narrow.with no elevator. With the cost that high for a 2 star hotel, I would've expected more.
