Would have expected more from reception on arrival esp being five star. Disappointing. However reception were quick to deal with the sudden loss of power in the room. Quickly arranged a move to another room. Very comfortable stay. Fab bath.

Simply superb service
We had a two night stay - Great room with an excellent bathroom. Air conditioning was noisy. Sounded like a wind tunnel. Can any hotel get this right? Service was amazing. The staff are simply superb. Also we ate in their Michelin starred restaurant Angler on Saturday night. Had the tasting menu - again staff are second to non. We will be staying here again. As it's situated in the city - for the weekend it's a lot quieter than the West End which is what we were after. Hustle and bustle of Spitalfields market was only 5 mins walk. So best of both worlds. Definitely recommend a stay here.

Gorgeous hotel with epic customer service
Probably one of the nicest hotels I've stayed at in years. The service was really great, and although I was slightly miffed I had to pay a surcharge of £50 for bringing my dog in, they made her feel very welcome and gave her a bed and bowl for the night. Its decor is clean and modern and the food was great too. Couldn't recommend enough.

Shady service: 5 star hotel my a*#!
Nice hotel. Shady service. Don't let appearances fool you. When I arrived the showerhead was moldy and the tub drain didn't work. The next night the light in front of my door went on inexplicably and stayed on from midnight to 1 AM while the rest of the room was dark. The light switch had no power over the errant light. Finally, I received one invoice for my stay then a second invoice 8 hours later with an additional 100 GBP charged for the mini bar which I did not use! Stay anywhere else in London.

Anniversary celebration
Booked an over night stay to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We travelled with 2 friends. Given a glass of champagne on arrival. Both rooms were excellent. We dined in Angler and found the food and service excellent too. Breakfast was good with a variety of dishes to choose from. Prices were very reasonable.
