This is a beautiful hotel in a great spot. Unique and scenic architecture, close enough to the old city to be hassle-free, but far enough out to be pretty relaxed. Good breakfast, good pool, funny selection of vintage manga throughout the building. Wi-fi is not WFH standard but works pretty well otherwise.

In a great location near the city centre. Nice little swimming pool. Just a slight smell coming up from the shower drain from time to time. Also the air conditioning unit was quite noisy. Despite this still a nice hotel and excellent value

Severely outdated rooms, requires brand new beds and bedding, air con needs a professional cleaning, tv is better than most carries a couple American language networks. Ok for a couple nights to crash.

I found this charming little hotel to be just what I needed to become acquainted with Chiang Mai. The staff were helpful, accommodating, and friendly. I loved the timeless feel of the building. It is not your typical modern chain hotel, but rather a throwback to a more romantic nostalgic era, whenever that may have been. A shoutout to Patrick, the man who picked me up at the airport (an additional, reasonable charge). He acted as my guide as to what to do and where to go around the area. He suggested that I visit the night market in the Old Town- which I did. I wandered around for four hours and the visual, savory, musical experience was spiritual and transformational. I actually felt something inside me start to loosen up, shedding the hard pandemic shell I'd developed in the past few years. He also offered a tour of the Mon Jam mountain region, home to the resilient Hmong people and truly a beautiful drive on a winding road in the lush mountain forest. This was an unforgettable experience and I highly recommend taking this reasonably-priced tour. Everything about this place was wonderful. It is just the ticket for the tourist/pilgrim with a sense of adventure and romance.

Staff may have been muse for Little Britain
There isnt much to recommend this hotel. It has a good location, but so do all hotels in Chaing Mai as they are all centred around the old town square. This is outside the square but just barely. The staff are hilariously lackadaisical - ask to check in or to buy a drink at the bar or really anything and you get a sigh with a sneer but no help. Our toilet overflowed on the first day and they told us that the plumber would come at 3pm. No plumber and they didnt/ wouldnt make up the room. Stayed another night without use of bathroom and then moved. Dont do it.
