Central Hoxton Shoreditch, London

Hotel in a great location for public transport and local shops. Guy working in reception extremely helpful in printing out maps on how to get to places. Our room was spacious and very bright but on a noisy street. Bathroom and kitchen small. wifi was dodgy. Air conditioning fabulous. Convenient local small shops for buying food to cook in kitchen to keep costs down. t

Room was great, clean, and hotel was in a very convenient location for my needs. Is on a major street with several bus routes, and also near overground station. Walking distance from shops etc. in Shoreditch. Having the kitchen was a definite plus, especially with a Sainsburys Express store a few doors down; great for making own breakfast and supper. Bed was comfortable, and shower nicely hot. Staff was very friendly and helpful. A couple recommendations to the hotel that might make people's stay more pleasant. These might not apply to all of the rooms; I had a room with one double bed and one single bed. First, some pictures on the walls would be nice, and make the room more welcoming and a lot less stark. Second, since the room didn't have a sofa, a couple of footstools or ottomans to use with the chairs would make things a bit more relaxing while watching TV. Both of the above suggestions aren't deal breakers; I would gladly stay here again. But they would definitely add to overall satisfaction of stay imho.

It is not easy to find a good hotel to fit a family of four in one room at an affordable price, and be close to central London. Central Hoxton Shoreditch was good for our family for these reasons. The building is old, so the floors creaked above our heads, and other sounds could easily be heard. However, everything in the room worked well. Having a laundry machine is very convenient, but you should ask how to use it since it quite puzzled us. Reception was very friendly and helpful.

This an old building renovated and converted into apartments. Functional units but with minimal furniture. We had a few problems with the bathroom exhaust fan, wifi, and the washer/dryer but the staff was very helpful and attentive to our requests. Great location, plenty of eateries and restaurants if you do not want to cook. Supermarket 30 meters away for groceries if you want to cook your own meals. Bus stop in front of the hotel, overground station around the corner, underground station a mere 10 minute walk away. Great location to visit London without breaking the bank.

Easy to find. Some rooms are better than others, however maintenance isn’t great. Wood chip walls, noisy at the front, bathrooms need updating. Staff are really nice and very welcoming. 24hr reception and lift are unusual for this price bracket.
