Worst Service for black people. Don't stay here.Ru
Of all the years visiting Jamaica, this has been the worst in 20+ years. The staff was rude and very unwelcoming to me and my family. It was a total of 18 of us staying at this resort in 18 different rooms for my sister's wedding. The service, employees and managers were so terrible,my sister had to move her wedding at the last minute. Of my 6 days 5 night stay I came across 4 nice work. That's a disgrace for the amount of staff. Upon speaking with one of the nicer employees, I was informed that there managers are the one who tells them to behave like that towards black people as we don't tip. No sense in wasting time with them as they won't get anything from us. Last time I checked you don't tip for bad service. So that statement doesn't apply to every black person. if I get good service I'm going to tip you as I know how the hospitality industry goes. For a supposedly 5 star rating place, there service is the worst.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Check-in was unsatisfactory. Room wasn't ready in a timely manner and it was partially cleaned. Other than that, the property was beautiful, service top tier, and food delicious. The cherry on top was its proximity to the city of Ocho Rios.

Big problem with towels… had to wait and beg for towels! Alcohol totally watered down… there was a complimentary bottle of wine in room .., when I asked to have 2nd delivered during stay it was not allowed… maybe b/c that was not watered down! Food everyday the same! I would never book another trip with moon palace

I had a wonderful stay at Moon Palace Jamaica and will definitely return in the future. The room was spacious and very clean with sufficient towels provided (I read some reviews before booking about a lack of towels, this is definitely not the case). There are plenty of food options. I enjoyed the buffet and the daily variation in selections and there was always a station with authentic Jamaican cuisine. The room service was also great! It was delivered in a timely manner and was always fresh, hot and well packaged. Momo the hibachi restaurant was a 10/10. Deshawn’s presentation was on par if not better than most hibachi restaurants I’ve visited in NY/NJ. Kudos to him on a great presentation and a fantastic meal. Natassia at the front desk was very friendly and very efficient. Special shout-out to Glendon at the pool bar for all the great drinks and to Duncan who I believe was an intern (he definitely knows what he’s doing, so hire him!) who made me the best drink I had during my trip! Overall a great stay with wonderful and pleasant staff and I highly recommend this beautiful hotel.
