I really liked Loews Chicago Hotel. Very beautiful and clean. The rooms were very well appointed and we loved the central location. We did have some issue with the A/C not being cold enough but the front desk staff was quick to remedy the problem. My only major complaint was the quality of the bed. My husband and I do not suffer from back problems, but the bed created very sore backs for both of us. If the beds were changed to more supportive mattresses we would definitely stay there again. Otherwise, we'd have to search for other accommodations.

Excellent. Clean and comfortable, great location, speedy check in and check out. Only issue was the night we wanted to go to the rooftop patio for drinks it was closed for a private function. Understandable for a regular restaurant, but in my opinion, not at a hotel advertising it as one of their amenities.

Disappointing Stay
This is the first time I've stayed at a Loew's hotel and I am thoroughly disappointed. My stay was horrible to say the least. For starters, upon checking in I was told that the amenities that drew me to the hotel in the first place were not available. That was an immediate let down because my entire plan was thwarted for something that could and should have been made clear at the time of research and booking. The room was another disappointment. It did not meet up to the photos online, it lacked character and the furniture was visibly worn. This was not my idea of luxury that warrants the cost of that room ($400). I immediately requested a different room. Due to the time of check-in, the lack of amenities and having no faith that any other room at that cost would meet my expectations, I specifically requested to be downgraded to a regular (no premium) King room. The staff member I worked with was very helpful and accommodating. He found me a room and when I asked for the cost, he replied that it was complimentary. The next morning I received a bill for full price. I inquired with another staff member that was not helpful at all. I was not met with the type of customer service I would expect. In fact, I was told that I had to do extra work to prove what I was told the night before. It has been two full days and I have yet to receive a response. I'm shocked this hotel is rated superb. I do not recommend. Stay elsewhere.

Misled re: our Stay Package by Loews & Hotels.com
The hotel and room were very nice. Everything was clean and comfortable. We were unhappy about paying for a breakfast for two which was not available! The $25 credit at Starbucks was not sufficient to make up for being sold a hot breakfast at the hotel restaurant. The restaurant was closed because of Covid but Hotels.com and the hotel sold us a breakfast package anyway. Shame on both of you.

Definitely NOT smoke free!
For a relatively empty hotel - they decided to place our family next to a suite where the guests decided to be ridiculously loud from 12-4am. We were all awake by 2:30 am thanks to the hoots and hollers on a Monday night. The worst part was the fact our room reeked of smoke which seemed to be coming in from the AC? I don’t know where the air intake is located but it was so bad we had to turn off the AC to mitigate the smoke fumes. I tried to phone the front desk but the phone was dead. I used the online chatting feature - and they sent someone up to check the noise which mostly helped. We all woke up with a headache well past our alarms and ruined plans for the morning. Strangely- there was a coat of dust on all our surfaces. It was a miserable night.
