      Charming Victorian home.

Spent two nights in Gananoque. Trinity House was a cozy converted century home with lots of antiques and charm. Jacque was a very accommodating host. Great location - just 1/2 block from the main street for restaurants and shops.

When I booked this place, I had in my mind something like a Holiday Inn. Was I ever wrong. This is more like a B&B, in the sense that it's in what seems to be an old house. There are several rooms - we stayed in the Aubrey room, which was pretty nice. It's not huge, but it did have a queen size bed and ensuite washroom. Because of covid, the breakfast was more of a continental thing with yogurts, muffins, croissants, and coffee. What I really liked about this place was the tranquility of the backyard. It was like a little oasis. Once our day's adventures were done, we liked to relax out there with an ice cream from the shop right next door. The owner of the inn was a really nice man. When we checked in, he gave us a personal tour of the whole house, and told us to make ourselves at home. He has two friendly dogs that we had fun hanging out with in the backyard in the evenings. Overall, it was a great place. Comfortable, and right downtown - easy walking distance to the water, boat cruises, confederation park, various restaurants, etc.

The owner upgraded the room to one with ensuite bathroom and the room and amenities were great. No breakfast was provided but a continental breakfast of fruit, coissants, Keurig coffee, lemon/blueberry loaf and butter, orange juice was provided - very good. The bed was very comfortable and room temperature was just right. We picked up a take out supper and eat it in the back garden - very pleasant.

Stayed here before. Excellent both times.. Bedroom and bathroom spotless with tastful decor. Comfy mattress/pillows. Cozy sitting room. Beautifully appointed dining/breakfast room with option of porch. (Loved breakfast in the porch). Attention to detail. Attractive buffet style breakfast - tasty and good variety. No plastic wares or single use plastic. Friendly, helpful staff. Classy place!

The room was cramped and there was no coffee maker in the room and no in room phone for contacting the staff. Freezing AC which was fixed for a while after contacting through an outside intercom. No proper vanity in bathroom for holding toiletries. The price was far more than the type of room deserved. No elevator. Description did not make these things clear. We would have been more comfortable in the nearby Comfort Inn.

Liked the layout of the suite . Location is good. Ample parking - were able to leave the car for the day even after checkout . Quiet. Reasonably priced for the area.. Unfortunately, basement suite has a humidity smell despite the humidifiers. Suite could be a bit more maintained ( spider webs , dust ) . Some wall moldings could use an upkeep ( wash or paint ). Overall , pleasant stay . Did not take advantage of the sitting areas and outside yard due to schedule but has a homey feeling . Note : advertising still says fine dining but the Inn only offers breakfast for a fee.
