Decent stay for the price.
I booked a private room but right next to the pool which was a bit loud during the day, however, the close the pool at night and it was peaceful for the night's sleep. It's a basic hostel and the private room was very cheap and did the job. I read some reviews on trip advisor some people are so high maintenance man. Like $60 a night and I slept well enough and not much noise. A few drongos around but that is to be expected in this current climate and as I've lived in St Kilda for 4 years I am unfazed about minor drongos. Overall I felt safe, most people were quite friendly and as I was so busy I only pretty much slept there, it did the job and I am happy I booked it. The only gripe - which was my own fault - was that I looked on a map and thought I could trek it from Leederville Station to get there. Everything is further than it looks on a map of perth trust me. I wore jeans, it was 42 degrees and it is all uphill from Leederville Station. If you choose to do this walk with heavy suitcases do it in shorts I beg of you! Otherwise great location, very close to Leederville and Prince of Wales. I would stay again if the need arose.

dangerous place. a lot of people from outside come to fly. Bike, scooter, clothing and food. in 4 days only 1 scooter. 1 electric bike and 2 bikes. there is a camera but they are useless.

Reception staff need a LOT of customer service training, it's quite disgusting to hear how one lady in particular interacts with guests - rudely interrupting them, assuming what they need prior to them actually asking a question and acting in an extremely inconsiderate manner in general. Never in my life have I received such abhorrent customer service, I was genuinely shocked.
