Fantastic, convenient place to experience Oxford
There are many places that pop up on a search for places to stay in Oxford, but most are far away. The Head of the River is easy walking distance from everything, and it is right on the Isis (Thames). My room was clean, neat, well maintained, and featured shortbread and chocolate as a welcome treat. The rooms are modern in an old building, so the walls are thin, and you will hear some creeks when people are walking. There is no A/C, but the Dyson in-room fan did the trick, and there are windows. (If global warming continues, they should consider putting in screens.) But as I said, while the inn is old, the rooms are modern, with a comfortable bed, a luxurious shower, a fine TV, and very good WiFi. The complementary breakfast is excellent - it would cost £14-20 elsewhere. The food overall is fantastic: I ate a delicious lunch here while waiting to check in. The staff is top-notch, and they responded to anything I asked or requested. I’m definitely staying here again the next time I come to Oxford.

Head of the River Stay
The location was beautiful however, there was constant noise from the bar/pub below our room. People were around as early as 8 am and as late as 1 am making a lot of noise. Also, the staff were not very welcoming during our stay.
