The stay at Hotel de l’Avre completed our Paris experience! It is quiet, charming and quintessentially Parisian! I forget that I am in a hotel. The owners are personable and most helpful. It is on a quiet street but very close to the metro and bus stations and walkable to the Eiffel Tower and many restaurants, bistros and patisseries. We would definitely stay here again the next time we are in Paris.

Great little hotel - small, friendly and tastefully decorated. Handy for the metro and walking distance to the Eiffel Tower. Lots of good places to eat nearby.

Lovely little quiet hotel
Very nice, little quaint Parisian hotel. Staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms in good condition. Very close to Metro and only a short walk to the Eiffel Tower. A number of nice places to eat nearby. Would recommend.

No frills, safe place to stay
The staff was welcoming and friendly and toom was typical size/setup for an inexpsensive 3-star Paris hotel. Bed was comfortable but the bathtub was very high and difficult to get in/out of (avoid if you have any mobility issues or are short). Internet was slow, but consistent: enough to check email. Soap dispensers had fallen off walls in our bathroom and had not been replaced; I wouldnt call this hotel dirty, but also would not tell others it seemed particularly clean. We were two female travelers and felt safe here. The neighborhood is good, with easy access to a main train station that has many service lines. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to friends looking for a safe place to stay, on a budget, with no frills but a comfortable bed and more private than a hostel.

Perfect for a long weekend in Paris!
The hotel is fantastic and the rooms are just what you would hope for when booking a little French hotel. The location is perfect and a lovely 10 minute stroll (20 if you stop in the bakeries) to the Eiffel Tower. If you are avid tea drinker, it is worth noting that there isn't tea and coffee making facilities in the room but the staff are more than happy to bring you tea to your room. Overall, it is great for a long weekend in Paris!

Exceeded expectations. Good value.
I would definitely stay again. Pluses: Clean, Comfortable Beds, friendly English-speaking staff, Modern Bathroom, decent (small but not tiny) elevator and staircase, safe in room. Quiet one-way Street with light traffic (and even quieter garden view rooms) yet only 1 minute walk to a metro hub with 3 intersecting lines, and main street with many stores/cafes. WiFi on 2nd floor worked well. Things to be aware of: small rooms (though relatively efficient for its small size), only two outlets (bring extension cord/multiplier if needed), and limited storage area (to leave luggage after checkout for pickup later that day), no air conditioning (wasn't needed; we checked weather before booking -- open windows to the garden allowed plenty of fresh/cool air)

Convinient Location
Service was good, eventhough i am hardly at hotel other than sleeping time. Cozy and beautifully decorated. Room is abit small but based on close proximity to Eiffel Tower, it is consider normal. Just 10-15mins walk to Eiffel Tower. 5mins walk to Metro Station

Unfortunate Experience at Hotel de l'Avre
Our stay from October 6-9, 2017 was okay overall. However, during our checkout the morning of October 9, the lady attendant demanded in a rude tone of voice that we pay for 3 days of breakfasts. We politely and calmly mentioned that the gentleman that checked us in 3 days prior assured as that breakfast was included in our fare. The lady became loud and combative, embarrassing us in front of the other customers. We paid what she requested, but departed feeling insulted. That is no way to treat your customers!

Poor 2.0
Terrible Service
Three Problems - All related to the Reception Staff: 1) We were on the ground floor. We smelled smoking from the reception area every night. The night manager apparently did nothing about it. 2) We asked if breakfast was included in the price of our room. The receptionist said YES. So imagine our surprise when we were charged 72 Euro (12 Euro/person for 3 mornings). 3) When we tried to explain to the other receptionist that we had been given false information about breakfast, she was defensive. Not at all helpful. [The younger receptionist was very helpful. But the older one was not. No understanding or apology was offered.]
