Nice place
The bed and breakfast is very homey and comfortable. The location is great because it's close to a lot of restaurants.

Stinks!
Terrible. They closed the front desk before we checked in. Left us the wrong key. Gave us a key to another room. We opened that door to find it occupied. Finally found the right key, in someone else's envelope, dragged our bags up steep stairs. Room had no TV, no fridge, no microwave. Old furniture, narrow uncomfortable beds with flat pillows.

Charming if a little run down
Our experience here was pretty good. It was really nice to stay in a more residential part of DC and to experience something new while staying here. Adam's Inn is a bed and breakfast, not a full hotel, comprised of two houses. The office workers were always nice and helpful and the rooms were very comfortable. A couple of issues - our room was pretty well worn with paint chipping off of the walls and some dents in the walls. However, the room was comfortable and clean. Also, it was pretty noisy in our room if people were walking up and down the hall, especially since our room was right at the landing of the stairs. This wasn't really an issue during the day, but at night it became an issue when there were people staying up drinking and going from one room to another. This may have been more of an issue for us because of our location on the floor (at the landing), however. Finally, the breakfast is not what you typically expect from a bed and breakfast - there is nothing cooked, and it is comprised of (instant) coffee, tea, bagels, english muffins, toast, toppings for these, cereals, and cold cuts. By reading other reviews, I knew that this would be the case in advance, but other travelers didn't read reviews and were surprised and disappointed by breakfast. Overall, a good experience, especially if you don't mind a more low-key, hostel-like environment.

Not good
It was a not so pleasant experience, I wouldnt recommend this to anyone, breakfast was so-so plates where not clean. The office timings where not followed at all, people in the office would leave early based on their mood
