A great find in the heart of town!
We opted to stay in Haarlem instead of Amsterdam and so glad we did! This place is right in the middle of everything. So many great restaurants, gift shops, grocery stores, markets. Included breakfast at a local coffee shop, which was nice. We stayed on the top floor and it was tricky getting our luggage up the winding/small staircases. But everything was great once we got up there.

More like a rooming service
This is a multi-site rooming service with no actual person on-site, which wasn't clear from the write-up. Our room was cold, and it would be a big bother to get anyone to help with this. Breakfast is a couple of blocks away, which is ok if its nice, but a drag if its raining. People are very nice, but the whole thing is a big disorganized (pretty long wait to check in etc.), which is not a great thing with a multi-site property, which is a challenge to manage to begin with.

Great value and comfort in the centre of Haarlem
Spacious, comfortable, clean – and a 1 minute walk to the Frans Hals Museum and the Grote Kerk. Plus there’s a refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave. For some people it may be a problem that there’s no elevator, and no front desk – once you check in, you’re basically on your own.

Leider gar kein Lüften möglich - geht gar nicht !
Auch wenn vieles hier positiv (und einiges negativ) zu werten ist - die Tatsache, dass es KEIN Fenster zum Öffnen und auch sonst keine Möglichkeit zum Lüften gab, macht die Unterkunft zu einer Katastophe! Ganz schlechte, stickige Luft - an Ostern (!) auch ohne Heizung warm/heiß wie im Sommer (wie wird's dann wohl erst sein ...). Wir haben uns so "beholfen", das wir die Tür vom Zimmer in den Hausflur möglichst lange geöffnet haben, was aber auch nicht gerade im Sinne des Erfinders ist - und nicht wirklich etwas gebracht hat. Der "Deckenventilator" hat nur eine Alibifunktion und kann die Luft leider auch nur "verteilen", aber nicht verbessern. Auf all die anderen (gute und schlechtere) Aspekte möchte ich gar nicht groß eingehen - das "Lüftungsproblem" macht diese Unterkunft indiskutabel.

Netter Kontakt zum Gastgeber. Leider funktionierten Fernseher und WLAN nicht. Am schlimmsten war jedoch, dass auch die Heizung nicht richtig funktionierte und es sehr kalt war.
