Towne Hotel, Nassau

Building had lots of character, but the loud club playinh music until 3am directly outside the paper thin walls with slatted plastic windows made sleeping impossible. No drapes or any effort to mitigate the noise by the hotel.

Wonderful location Truly wonderful local art everywhere Breakfast not served until 7:30, *way* too late! Conch chowder (formerly my favourite meal here) has deteriorated, was bland instead of zippy.

Nice staff but the hotel is older and it shows. Courtyard echos any and all noises so be prepared. I was a little annoyed that the total costs listed by Hotels.com were off by $26 not a ridiculous amount but ,12% by my public school math, could add up.

This is one of the more basic options in downtown Nassau (as opposed to the beachfront Hilton or the more fancy Graycliff). I just needed a one night stay in the downtown area and this was the least expansive available. It’s definitely a no frills hotel, but was what I was looking for in terms of cost and location. If you just want somewhere to lay your head after exploring downtown then this is an ok option, but if you want a more resort feel to hang out at then you’re better off elsewhere.

I have traveled to many places across the globe and stayed in my share of cheap hotels, but this place by far is the worst. I'm not a total clean freak and I knew that I was renting a lower priced room in the Bahamas, but from the cleanliness to the attitude of the manager refusing to work with me by even changing my room when I had a noise issue, this was horrific. The last straw was the the noise directly outside our window from the staff and the ally below. We were awaken at 6:30 am to a huge fight and a woman screaming. The commotion went on through 8:00 am when the cleaning staff arrived and began talking and slamming doors. I probably would have reluctantly overlooked the dirty bathroom or the horrible mattress or the tiny room, but the attitude of the manager when I asked for a change in my room then a refund was beyond what I could stand. I walked away from my remaining two nights that I prepaid for and opted for another hotel at twice the price just to get out of there.

I like the Parrot. When i went there i felt more in Peace. No sign of insecurity No sign for racism. Breakfast on time

Great location. Extremely limited breakfast. Not somewhere i would spend more than a day.

Colourful decor in communal areas, friendly staff. Too few electrical outlets in my room, and those were falling apart. Inclusive breakfast could have been a bit more varied.
