The staff at this location have been absolutely awesome however they are dealing with what appears to be a run down building with no capital upgrades to the rooms. I am travelling out of province and need to be close to my parents so this is the most convenient choice for me however going forward I am planning to stay further away and drive for a cleaner & safer place to stay. In the last 2 months have stayed here a couple of times because it was the only option and both times have noted mould on the ceilings in the bathroom and the smell of urine throughout the room. This most recent stay Oct 9 to 12, 2022 the closet reeked of urine and there was a Dollar store gel air freshener hidden between the bed side table and the head of the bed which I supposed was to cover the smell but it didn’t work nor should it as this appears to be a mould and pest issue and can’t be expelled with a perfume. I booked for 3 nights and the first night my 5 year old daughter slipped and fell in the bathtub shower, I put one of the bath towels on the bottom of the tub the next night so that she would not slip and fall again. The next day there was a new rubber mat left for us on the counter to put in the tub, thank you to the housekeeper who left that. We went to the pool a few times but I had to stop because I broke out in a rash/burn from what I can only contribute to the chlorine level of the pool - my eyes were burning after 30 minutes in the pool. Staff are awesome, rooms need a lot of work.
