SureStay Hotel by Best Western Tehachapi, Tehachapi

Decided to try a different hotel to stay at in Tehachapi, what a mistake, checked in and the girl at the front desk gave us a handicapped room, I did not request this and asked for another room. She stated the room was booked this way and if I wanted a change I could ask in the morning. Shower was for the handicapped so of course water runs everywhere. Secondly, the room was on the ground floor and the people above stayed up all night making noise. It was impossible to sleep, by morning I booked another room at the Fairfield two blocks away to check in that day, even though I had another night stay at SureStay. My experience here was very poor and I would not stay here again. Rooms need to be updated and properly cleaned.

Very clean place . Wish they had a more of a pet friendly area for our pets though it says pet friendly.

I like that it's in town and relatively easy to get to and from and close to restaurants and gas stations

We had verified ahead several times with Willie? and other people at front desk to check in at 11am. We arrived at 11:10am and room was ready! They even said that there were no housekeeping gals onsite, (they were at sister property). Well after about 30 min, finally got her to give us a room, and low and behold there were 2 house keepers right near our room plus only 3 cars in entire parking lot! Doubt they were full?? This place is old and run down, rooms smell. Oh yeah and the TV didn’t work in room 104. We had to pull out dresser and reset direct tv box. We only stay here because they are pet friendly ($32.40 fee) tax on a pet??

I am the leader of a Railfan group. We make an annual visit to the Tehachapi are to watch Trains. We always book multiple rooms at this location. we ALWAYS request a rollaway bed in our one room. This trip, upon check in, the young lady at the desk told us they had no rollaway beds available and that we would have to book a second room. We account for 5 rooms at this venue.one of our group on the following day was speaking with the daytime desk person who expressed surprise that this happened as they in fact had multiple extra rollaway beds. What makes this more aggravating, is the front desk girl refused to look for the rollaway beds. She refused to even look at us. we had to scramble to find alternate lodging which we did at Holiday inn express at an additional substantial expense for us. 10 years in a row we have stayed here as a group. Our group will be returning in May. We will not be staying here ever again.

Large rooms and they allow pets. Rooms were pretty clean. Comfortable beds and sheets. Lot of smokers hanging out in center parking lot which ends up filtering into the rooms.

Unfortunately it is really run down, dirty outside, and loud with long term guests bbqing and drinking in the parking lot all evening. The room was clean. And due to Covid no breakfast or pool, but that was expected.

They take pets Rooms are large. Nice sheets. Lots of workers stay here.

Wonderful could have a little friendler customer service.over all was good.

Working for railroad 12 hr shifts. I come back to room and no room service, not even towels. I call front desk the lady told me they only clean rooms when you check out., so i asked for towels she tells me i hVe to get them myself located on other side of property. Not good business. I definatly will not have my company book my crew there again.
