Exceptional 10.0
The Robey is a new hotel in the Wicker Park Damien area. The building combines Art Deco details from the original 1929 building and fresh, clean & modern decor. Service from the front desk, to the 13th floor bar Up & Up, to the restaurant, to the second floor Cafe Robey Lounge was welcoming and efficient. The views were outstanding, Brunch was delicious. We will definitely stay there again.

Good 6.0
Lovely but not so quiet...
Loved the design, the room was spare but comfortable, could have used some more comfort in the bathroom, like mats. Didn’t realize the roof, outside areas were open to the public and they were both bars so they were packed with people. I was looking forward to relaxing outside on the roof but there was no seating. The cleaning staff, wait staff in the dining room were great but valet was nonexistent a couple of times and we had to park our own car but the manager kindly waived the valet fee. The bar across the street is very loud when it empties at 3 am so try to stay away from rooms across from bars! It’s a high energy place filled with twentysome year olds so if your looking for a quieter, calmer place, I would suggest another spot.

The robey in a fun neighborhood lots to do a lot of places open after 4' but there are a few good taco and breakfast spots some vintage shopping which ranged in price and quality the 606 is tight there and very nice to walk the hotel has a roof neck but it gets crowded the 6th floor lounge was also cool we did not eat in any of the robey pots but the food looked great my boyfriend got stuck in the elevator for 20 minutes before they could get him out we just laughed about it but many would have freaked

Perks to staying at The Robey
Great place to meet up with family and friends. Lots of comfortable spaces for gathering. We had a family get together for our newborn grandchild , the Cafe Robey moved us up to a wonderful private/ meeting and dining space to accommodate our group. Very convenient walk to Blueline for trips to/ from OHare . Great complementary gym to use half a block from hotel. Besides the Robey Cafe that gives guests 20% off, there are loads of great restaurants nearby. Especially loved Cumin, a Nepalese Indian restaurant. We also really enjoyed Bonci authentic Italian style pizza by the cut, Fairgrounds great coffees and food next door, and stellar Stan’s donuts right next to Blueline. Perfect place to stay and will definitely return when visiting our family.
