    Was good!

The view/terasse was nice. The smell was horrible ( even with a mask) and the walls were paper thin! You could hear the neighbours taking a shower and spitting while brushing their teeth, to say the least!

room looks more like a modified locker than a room. Very old mantion not renovated at all. No shower but a tub, which was not indicated. Bed and TV were fine. Price really not in line with room quality. Cheap motel rooms are much better.

People were very nice but the room was a disappointment. It was clean enough but had a particular smell. I was also not sure why they don’t cover the duvet with another sheet on top. This had me worried as most people sleep with one leg out or arms out. Would suggest adding another sheet. Bathroom was very small and thinks some more hooks and shelves for toiletry items would be useful. Please consider adding a toilet paper holder rather than a stand that sits on the floor. Large windows that can open all the way but there are no screens.

Run down property, not as advertised, bad service

With full hotels in the region this summer, we were stuck with this inferior hotel at an unusually high price. The hotel is a very old and has not been well maintained. For example, the wide terrace around the hotel has sagged so much you couldn't keep a chair on it, the second level open balcony is sagging, the paint is faded, the carpets soiled, the lawn by the pool overgrown. The hotel is also using COVID-19 as an excuse for its deteriorated service, which does not meet what is advertised. For example, we were told that because of COVID-19 there was no in-room coffee/tea maker (there were scores of Keurig machines stored in a closet). This was one of five Quebec hotels we stayed in this trip, but the only one without in-room coffee machines. I wonders if COVID is the reason why the electric fireplace and several lights in the room didn't work either. There is supposed to be breakfast included, but apparently because of COVID-19 they can’t cook eggs. Fruit loops, toast and canned fruit salad is NOT breakfast. The attitude of the staff on this was simply beyond belief --we were told we were “lucky” to even be getting coffee. Meanwhile, the breakfast set-up was hardly COVID-appropriate. Out of a massive dining room, the “food” and coffee serving area was crammed into a small corner blocked off on all sides so that anybody serving themselves had to go into this small area, with all dishes, cutlery, condiments etc piled onto trays. Big disappointment all around.

The building looks nice from the picture. But in fact it need a lot of updating. The nightly rate is too high for what you get. It should be under $100. Only stairs to walk to higher floor. We stayed for 2 nights but they didn’t gave us fresh towels on The 2nd day. Breakfast was Included thats good. Its not much but sufficient.
