New ownership doesn't seem to care
I had booked our August 6th stay back in January. when it was the Selah Motel. This was part of an 18 day trip out west. The day before our stay I learned from the property's Facebook page that the Travelodge had bought it and had taken it over in July. It was also suggested to call and confirm. I'm glad I did. Although Expedia has my credit card information, the male who answered the phone, "Travellers Inn, no vacancy, how can I help you?" said they wouldn't hold my reservation after 4pm without a credit card number. He failed to mention that check-in wasn't at the property itself but slightly down the road and across the street. When I did check-in I was overcharged and once unpacked I had to go back across the street with my Expedia confirmation. The male at the front desk wouldn't assist me because he didn't check me in so I had to wait longer to get the difference refunded. I was given I plastic bag for ice to take over the road, but no ice bucket and the room didn't have an ice bucket. The paved parking at the front is not level and is not deep so parking two touring motorcycles was a challenge. Parking in the rear was gravel. It is a bare bones room with mattresses on a platform base. Adequate for one night.
