perfect for a hassle free visit to Bath
Lovely welcome from Susanne even though the main road was being dug up. Nice breakfast and a well appointed room, towels, shower, tea making and even mini-chocolates.Parking great. The bus service (#3) into Bath, under normal conditions, would make Poplar House just on perfect for a hassle free visit to Bath but not the hotel's fault the road works really made life difficult. One tip is to approach the High Street and the Batch from the Bath side of Batheaston (A4/A46). The other way means a sharp, narrow, steep right turn into the Batch.
