Began as a nailbiter, ended up a nice stay

When I arrived to check in, they had us down for only a two night stay, whereas I had booked - and paid for - a 3 night stay. It was a bit nerve-wracking until we had squared that away. After we did, our room was nothing to write home about, and was in a place with no view. Pavilion front desk gave the impression that the hotel was booked solid and no better room was available, but we saw evidence to the contrary. Electricity on one side of the room would periodically - and inexplicably - cut off with no warning. "Character", I guess. No frills, bare essentials. My wife and I aren't particularly attached to luxury accommodations, but I thought they might have done a little better. We LOVED the location, though, right in the center of everything, and Ocean City, New Jersey was delightful, the weather was perfect, and we did have a lovely time, overall!

No free parking if you booked 3rd party.

Because we used Hotels. Com we had to pay for parking which came to 60.00 for one night. Will need stay here again. Across from our room were old looking mattresses inside of a building.

    Disappointed expensive stay

If I could give a ZERO I would. Because I booked “third party”, didn’t qualify to park on premises. Had to park across street at public lot for $35/24 hours. Didn’t qualify for beach passes because of “third party” purchase. Price was almost twice the amount when paid “third party”. Beds were hard. Two pillows on one and three on the other. A/C ran but fan couldn’t be adjusted. Had to ask for towels and washcloths each day. Towels had single long dark hairs in them. No bath mat or hand towels. No clock in room. Not enough outlets in room. Supposed to have restaurant on site. Instead eyesore storage of mattresses and miscellaneous. Pool had no lifeguard - lawsuit looking to happen. Pool is 8 1/2 feet deep in one spot. Was told when I first got there that only was there for one night - it was three. Twice the next day workers came to door saying was late checking out. First woman was almost rude. Went down to office to get it straightened out. Then a couple hours later another employee came to door saying we had to check out again! Went to office again and told them for a third time that was staying for three nights. No maid service. Had to put linens outside in a chair and eventually someone would come by and pick them up. But nothing got replaced. Had to ask for things in office. Had to put trash outside room and eventually it got picked up too. All this for over $1300!!!

The room at the Pavilion was VERY pricey. For what? I have no clue. There were no towels in the room (and I asked twice and then gave up), the air conditioner was leaking everywhere, and the room was only semi-clean. I did not know that parking and beach passes were not included in the price. So why on earth did I pay $498 to stay in NJ????

    Dated, but I'd go back.

We've stayed there in the past and it wasn't bad. This year, we were in an updated room, which was great, but it is certainly dated. The price is a bit steep, and we didn't get beach tags like we used to, but we'd stay there again

Very good just not great anymore!

Excellent staff has always been their key for many years. Unfortunately, the buildings are starting to show their age. The on-site restaurant we used to love was closed due to staffing, toilet was clogged when we got there, the beds were hard, the TVs are old, and the second shower was not super clean. On the positive side, you cannot beat the location, the pool is nice, the wifi is actually very good for a beach motel, and the staff is super friendly! I honestly wish I could give it 5 stars due to the staff alone but unfortunately it is time for upgrades before I can give 5 stars like I did for many years.

    Disappointing condition

Old and outdated. Literally just a place to stay if you want to be by the boardwalk. Nothing special.

    Love this spot!

Tabitha and Lou were super cool. We rented bikes from their recommended spot and they turned us on to 7th st surf for my 9 year old. Close to the boards. Cute pool and wonderful stay. Highly recommend.
