Old but great hotel!!!
The hotel is in an amazing location. It is well maintained, and very comfortable, despite this is an old building. I had a great experience.

Old, humid and moldy
Let's start with the only good thing : Location. Other than that, the whole place needs a lift up! The room was smelly/humid and the shower was moldy. The shower water pressure was no more than a leak. The lack of AC and the noise from 2nd street made this stay even worse. Not recommended.

Its an older hotel so the rooms are fairly plain but it was nice and clean. A safe and a mini fridge would have been nice so we could keep baby food and milk cold. Location was very convenient for pike market, the monorail, light rail, and shopping.

The entrance door to the room doesn’t close properly and there was a tiny stream of water from the tap in the bathroom sink.

Do not go to this hotel
Be careful, this is a very old hotel. The pictures are very misleading. No airconditioning! 1900's room with little renovation. the windows are not sound proof.

Gross hotel
There was the one front desk guy who was really nice but then there was this lady who was always rude. I felt like she hated her job. Hotel was quite gross a lot of hair inside the pervious guest and the water would not drain. It has very little amenities, a fridge would have been appreciated. The bathrooms are very dated and the curtain would touch you while you showered, again very unpleasant. The only positive thing about this place was that it was located near pike market. I have stayed at other hotels in the area that are much nicer. The pictures on hotels.com a very deceiving I found the rooms to not look a thing like those in the pictures. Would not recommend and would not stay there again.

Good value for your money
Old school, character hotel. Some of the features are quaint and add colour and tone, but some, like bathroom fixtures, probably should be upgraded. Great location, reasonable price, good value for your money

Unique but noisy
Fun hotel, kind of loud but very unique!

It is a cool historic building with historic charm. Still uses real keys, radiators for heating and has an elevator which fits about 4 people - just to help paint a picture. We especially loved the staff, the hotel dog, the coffee shop and how convenient the location is. We walked everywhere and loved it as our home base!

Nice
This is a quaint, historic hotel but know that it is just that; a historic hotel. it has small rooms, old doors with brass keys and tiny bathrooms. Also, there is no central hvac. That said - it is in a convenient location and has a lot of charm.
