La Villa Haussmann, Paris

We stayed there for our anniversary and had a wonderful stay. The area is beautiful and the staff are incredibly friendly. We use the in room espresso maker upon arrival and then headed out to tour around. The staff replaced our used coffee and cups while without us even asking. Shows an attentiveness not often experienced. Very happy.

My wife and I had booked an apartment using Airbnb and we found that it was somewhat lacking in its description so for the last week of our one month stay we searched for a hotel in the 8th Arrond of Paris and found VIlla Haussmann. The hotel is well located in this district of the city that has a bit of a business feel to it, although the area still has a few boulangeries and in fact a wonderful wine store just down the street that has been around since about 1850. The rooms were somewhat highly priced, however the hotel has a pool, albeit a modes sized one (about 20 feet - 6 or 7 meters in length) and has a nice wet sauna (Haman) . The rooms were somewhat on the smaller size but comfortable and the bed was nice and pillows were adequate. The curtains cut out the sun when one wanted to sleep and the bathroom amenities were good, although there was not that much liquid soap supplied. The location was good as we could walk about 25 minutes to get to the 1st Arrond and 20 min to rue St Honore to check out the local high end boutiques. I did wonder though why the hotel did not make more effort to entice us to eat in the hotel. Perhaps this is something they could work on. All in al a comfortable place, quiet in the evening, relaxing with great customer services.

We ended up upgrading to a deluxe room given the small Size of most rooms in Europe. However, the view of our room was NOTHING like the pictures shown on the hotels website. Our view was of an ugly run down building. Customer service was less than nice upon arrival. The bar and restaurant were just ok. Overall, our stay there was comfortable but we wouldn’t stay there again given the location was ok. We were expecting a nicer area full of cafes and bistros. You must walk 10-15 minutes to get to a nicer area. I uploaded a picture of our direct view from bathroom and room and a second one down the street.

Great location, excellent service and accommodations. The spa downstairs is an absolute must! Will definitely stay here again!

The room was small, but modern, super inviting and confortable. Breakfast was amazing.
