Pretty terrible, unclean and needs an update. The walls were unclean, bathroom was ancient, the pressure in the sink was nonexistent, shower hewd fell down every time. Could hear EVERYTHING that was happening outside the room, no sound proofing at all. Paid way too much for a bad room.

Great location, very central for theatres etc. Hotel is basic and in need of updating which looks like is currently under way. Room window blind lets light in, towels very thin and old, no hand soap just shower gel in shower. Tea/coffee making facilities ok

All lift out of order all night, I had to go down and up 4 stories with a partially disabled leg. My friend an hour earlier had the same experience and told the front desk but nothing had been done. When i arrived downstairs they pretended not to know all lifts were stuck. Shower was sub standard, very small

On arrival we were told we had been upgraded, upon entering our room we were quite shocked at how (cosy) it was, and did wonder what our original room would have been like! but it was very clean and new looking . Bed legs are a danger to toes, stubbed them numerous times, and only one pillow each was disappointing.Generally, would be happy to return.

Lovely to be upgraded. The room was superb and I slept well. Freshly renovated. Spotless. Kettle, tea and coffee. Brilliant hot shower with a choice of shower heads.
What I love is that there is all you need in a compact space without feeling cramped. I hate superfluous cushions and paraphernalia.
The location is perfect and being an older single traveller it's essential I am close to theatres, shops, restaurants etc.
A special mention for all the front of house staff. Couldn't be more helpful and pleasant. The lovely concierge even took me out of the hotel to direct me in the right direction very happily. St. Giles suits me a treat and I will be back.
P.s I love the new decor on the landings.

Terrible! Upon check in assigned me three rooms, yes three, that had already been occupied. So I walked in on three people unexpectedly. When asked to complain to the manager, the said manager offered me a cancellation and suggested “you can always go elsewhere”. Avoid this hotel! London is a great city don’t let this hotel spoil your experience

It got off to a bad start with long queue to check in and a lack of pillows, despite being told on more than one occasion that they would arrive! However, other issues were resolved quickly and so the rest of our stay went smoothly.

Room badly in need of refurbishment. Difficult to tell cleanliness of some areas of bathroom as surfaces so tarnished.
Bed seemed clean and comfortable, but no pillow covers under the pillow cases.
Very noisy possibly from underground but outside too.
