Great staff, pet friendly every one of them.
We have a great time. The staff bent over backwards to assist us. They were so friendly and professional, nothing was too much for them. The food was outstanding at breakfast. We will definitely be back.

Nice hotel, good position.
The hotel is in an excellent position in the old town, only a few minutes walk to the bars and restaurants. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. We were given a smallish room with no view and were offered a room upgrade when we complained. This room was much bigger and had good views over the town to the Wallace Monument and the hills beyond. We stayed for 2 nights and were disappointed not to have had our room made up after the first night, despite hanging the request for cleaning on our door handle.

Not so relaxing weekend away..
Meant to be a relaxing weekend away before the birth of our child, however blaring music from the wedding changed that. Phoned reception to be moved to be told the music would finish in 45 minutes. Thankfully I knew when the music was finishing, as I heard every single word the DJ said with the room being right above the dance floor. Hotel was beautiful back when it opened, however very tired now. Holes in wall in bedroom, but bed was comfortable and breakfast was tasty. Not appropriate for guests to be wearing pyjamas around breakfast area IMO.. Parking is very limited at the hotel, especially if a function is on.
